Like a mechanic working on a car has a price for their work in checking over the car, we do the same with consultations. If we are having a one on one situation and it is a longer than an average interaction, we charge over 30 minutes, this is because trying to identify a problem, if we are working with the customer to provide an answer to the problem, and the customer wishes to fix themselves. It is just like a mechanic, we can give a diagnosis, but our techs have spent lots of time and money to make sure they are well qualified to give you a more professional answer to what may be happening with computer. Also to maintain a speedy diagnosis and repair for you the customer so you can have computer back within the same day.
